Why It’s Important: In reflecting on the death of George Floyd the author asserts that we have reached a point where we must replace the common myth of what man is — an “accidental being who enters the world as a blank slate or empty soul after birth” — with a new myth which holds that “each soul is unique and each person is naturally gifted and imbued with meaning and life purpose”. This is a sine qua non for our continued presence on the planet.
